Fortunately for our community, a dedicated group of civic leaders recognized the need for affordable childcare back in 1968, and the Child Development Association was born. In 2008, the CDA turns 40 years old. Exorbitant preschool fees often preclude low income families from finding affordable childcare. The CDA offers an opportunity for these many families to receive exceptional care for their young children as they struggle to balance the household budget. The CDA serves children from 3 months to 5 years, offering a full range of programs so that when the children graduate to attend the Fulton County School kindergartens, they are on grade level. CDA students currently feed into 17 North Fulton schools, including the areas of Sandy Springs, Roswell, Milton, Alpharetta and Johns Creek. In celebration of its 40th Anniversary, the CDA is hosting a series of three events.
