The Child Development Association (CDA) enjoys a rich history of broad community support. For four decades many people have shared our vision of strengthening disadvantaged families striving for economic self-sufficiency. Busy hands and generous spirits have built the CDA, an exemplary, accredited childcare and early education program that serves more than 140 children each day. However, the need is great; we receive five to seven new applications each week.
Private and corporate contributions enable us to provide nationally accredited childcare to low-income deserving families.
Our children, ages 12 months to 5 years, are from a particularly vulnerable group and they receive our nurturance and care during a critical period of their development. In addition to childcare, the children receive a comprehensive nutrition program and numerous health-related screenings such as vision and hearing. The families receive a wide range of ancillary services such as parent counseling, crisis intervention and parenting skills workshops.
By partnering with the CDA, individuals and businesses make an investment that really matters, making a difference in the lives of these children and their families that will pay both immediate and long-term dividends.
