STRONG COMMUNITY: The CDA Today

The Child Development Association (CDA) enjoys a rich history of broad community support. For four decades many people have shared our vision of strengthening disadvantaged families striving for economic self-sufficiency. Busy hands and generous spirits have built the CDA, an exemplary, accredited childcare and early education program that serves 170 children each day. However, the need is great and 300 children remain on our waiting list.

Private and corporate contributions enable us to provide nationally accredited childcare to low-income deserving families.

Our children, ages 3 months to 5 years, are from a particularly vulnerable group and they receive our nurturance and care during a critical period of their development. In addition to childcare, the children receive a comprehensive nutrition program and numerous health-related screenings such as vision and hearing. The families receive a wide range of ancillary services such as parent counseling, crisis intervention and parenting skills workshops.

By partnering with the CDA, individuals and businesses make an investment that really matters, making a difference in the lives of these children and their families that will pay both immediate and long-term dividends.

To make a personal difference in a child’s life, spend an hour a week mentoring one of our kids. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 770.992.4339
